Description	Started in August 1992, home for underpriviledged children (both boys and girls) and recently for the down syndrome as well as old folks. The girls' living unit is located in 2 single-storey homes at Taman Kuchai, Puchong while the boys live in a home at Taman Tenaga, Puchong. Recently 2 other homes were set up in Cameron Highlands and in Karak, Pahang. Description	A home for mentally disabled children ranging from 1 year old to 29 years old of various races. Most of the children have multiple disabilities ranging from cerebral palsy, polio, paralysis, speech impairment, Down Syndrome and other mental disorders. The children were either abandoned at hospitals or come from poor families who do not have the means to meet their special needs. There are currently 35 children at the home. The centre does not charge any fee for looking after the children. The home employs 10 caretakers, 5 of whom stay at the centre, and every inch of the house which the Centre occupies is used either for beds/ mattresses or storage of food etc. Open to visitors Daily 7am-7pm

Description	Sabah Cheshire Home was registered on the 16/07/1974. It was established and officially open on the 29/01/1983. It is a non-profit, private and charitable organisation that provides shelter and care to permanently disabled and terminally ill persons. AIMS & OBJECTIVES: To provide every resident with a home environment and an opportunity for a full and productive life; To provide vocational training opportunities for the physically disabled; and To provides facilities to enable the residents to engage in constructive activities. Presently there are 36 residents in the home of which 5 are in day-care. We also have two cases on respite. Three residents are on family support. The residents are of various ethnic, religions and cultures and come from all over the state, such as Sandakan, Kudat, Lahad Datu, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Tawau.

Description	Today it is home to 50 residents of all ages ranging from 25 to 75 years. The main aim of the Home is to train and provide residents with all the necessary assistance to develop abilities and to maximize their level of independence so that they are able to achieve as full a as possible no matter what their physical disabilities. These disabilities are the results of the known physical handicapping ailments or diseases such as poliomyelitis, rheumatoid arthritis, muscular dystrophy, oral palsy and osteogenesis imperfecta. Some of these conditions have known cures while many are progressively disabling. Whilst at the Home, residents are given the opportunity encouragement to develop interests and hobbies as music, sports and activities that allow them to interact socially and engage in suitable employment. The emphasis of Rumah Amal Cheshire Selangor, like the other 250 of its kind around the world, is firmly based on an all-round development within a secure environment of love and encouragement rather than treatment alone. The Home is multiracial and this makes the home unique in Malaysia

Description	For Children aged 14 Years and Below. Today the institution is home to about 100 children of various races. The children of the institution suffer from diseases such as cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, hydrocephalus, mental retardation, speech defects and deafness. The objectives of Taman Sinar Harapan are to train and prepare the mentally handicapped children for daily living and adulthood, to equip the children with basic education and skills suited to their particular disability, and to assist parents and other family members to improve their standard of living while reducing the burden of caring for their mentally handicapped children. Healthcare is emphasised. In addition to the services of a full-time qualified nurse, a medical officer from the Negeri Sembilan Health Department visits the institution twice a month. The institutions's dental clinic is run by the Seremban District Dental Clinic staff comprising a dentist, a nurse and an attendent. The clinic operates twice a week.
